Those CES Guild Members that took on the “5 Inch Charm Squares” quilt challenge, your
finished quilts are due at the January 2008 meeting. Good Luck

2008 Holiday Challenge

2008 HOLIDAY CHALLENGE – “MINI BEE”
1. The challenge will be to create a “mini” quilt using the “bee” fabric as the theme.
2. Must have a recognizable amount of the “bee” fabric on the front side plus at least
one of the “bees”.
3. Must have a title that includes a “B / be / bee”.
4. Minimum size 12” (in any direction) and maximum size of 24” (in any direction).
5. Must be layered (top, batting, backing), quilted and bound.
6. Completed quilts are due at the December 2008 Meeting.
Please obtain the “bee” fabric from Barbara Means at the February meeting if you missed her in January!

2008 Block-of-the-Year

Wrench or Monkey Wrench
Finished block size is 12 1/2”. Use CREAM as the light background fabric (it can be a toneon
-tone or have a small pattern). Use DARK look-like-solid as the dark fabric (again it can
be a tone-on-tone or a small pattern but overall give a DARK feel). Blocks are due at the
October 2008 Meeting. Obtain additional instructions from Barbara Means.
