Welcome to the Chattahochee Evening Stars
HISTORY
Our guild was started in 1997 by three women who shared a love of quilting and wanted to provide a way in which they could share that love with other fellow quilters. Our guild has since grown to100 members ranging in age from 14 to 87 who all share a love of quilting and whom always welcome all those with a similar interest.
The guild meets monthly (except September) to enjoy lectures, workshops or demonstrations by an array of talented quilters representing all styles of quilting. Members are encouraged to share their works with the guild through the Show n Tell Program.

QUILT SHOW
One of the Guild’s proudest achievements is the biennial Quilt Show, “Georgia Celebrates Quilts”. As many as 400 quilts from all over Georgia are displayed. Many quilt-related retailers are on hand offering all the latest fabrics and gadgets. The scope of artistry is truly something to see. The next show will be held in Sept 2009.
PURPOSE
The guild is intended to benefit and educate those interested in preserving and continuing the art of quilting. Through our quilt show and Community Service projects, we continue to promote and perpetuate this rich and diverse art. Quilters of all skill levels are invited to become active members and join us on the journey that is quilting. Additional guild information is available by following the links to the left.
Our guild participates in many charitable activities, including an ongoing effort to make baby quilts for the Tiny Stitches charity . CES also participates in an ongoing effort to make newborn to juvenile quilts for CASA of Forsyth County. These quilts go to children that are removed from the home environment to give comfort. We also have the ConnKerr Cancer charity where we are making pillowcases for children with cancer.
